Corporate and Organisation Structure
The SEACEN Centre was established as a private company limited by guarantee without share capital in 1982. Its corporate governance structure consists of three governing bodies: the SEACEN Board of Governors (BOG) as the highest policy-making body; the SEACEN Executive Committee (EXCO) as a supervisory body; and the SEACEN Board of Directors (BOD) to ensure compliance with the Malaysian Law.

The SEACEN Centre is led by the Executive Director, who is appointed by the SEACEN BOG on a three-year term. He is assisted by Director of Learning Design and Development, Director of Research and Learning Contents, who are appointed by the SEACEN EXCO on a three-year term.

The SEACEN organisation structure consists of two core departments. The Learning Design and Development Department handles design, development and delivering of training courses. The Research and Learning Contents Department is mainly responsible for research and developing case studies and training materials. The two Departments are supported by the Strategy and Performance and Support Services, headed by a Deputy Director.

Staff of The SEACEN Centre are categorised into permanent staff and contract staff, and comprise citizens of the SEACEN member countries. The Visiting Research Economists and Visiting Subject Matter Experts are mostly seconded from the member banks on a short-term basis of 3 to 6 months. Most of the other professional and support staff are Malaysians and are employed on a permanent basis.
