Objectives: The key learning objective of this Workshop is to enable the participants to identify and evaluate critical regulatory and supervisory components to develop a sustainable Islamic banking system. In achieving this, the participants will learn to: (i) discuss the legal, regulatory and regulatory framework for Islamic banking; (ii) analyse the challenges to supervisory and regulatory bodies in developing Islamic banking system.
Resource Persons: The resource persons will be drawn from various international Islamic banks, Islamic Financial Services Board, Islamic scholars and regulators.
Target Group: This Workshop is designed for middle level staff and supervisors of central banks or monetary authorities responsible for supervising and regulating Islamic banking.
