Library And Information Services

The SEACEN Centre's Library and Information Services was established in 1977 to meet the Centre’s requirements for research, training and seminar materials, and other information necessary to carry out its operations. Presently, the Library has a collection of 13,522 volumes of books, 7,019 pamphlets and 144 titles of periodicals, 32 of which the Library subscribes to while the remaining 112 titles are ex-gratis. The SEACEN Library operates a computerised bibliographic service using the UNESCO micro-version of the CDS/ISIS computer software package.

The Library is a depository of the World Bank and Asian Development Bank publications. It also has a current bilateral exchange of publications with the Kiel Institute of World Economics in Kiel, Federal Republic of Germany. The Library’s collection of books, documents, pamphlets and periodicals is concentrated in the areas of money and banking, balance of payments, foreign exchange and public finance, especially those relating to the Asia Pacific countries. The special collection of the Library consists of publications of the SEACEN members central banks and monetary authorities.
