This Conference provides a forum for the Directors of Supervision of central banks, monetary authorities, and selected separate financial sector regulatory authorities in the region to discuss and exchange views on some of the most pressing challenges related to microprudential supervision, including the broader macro-financial environment in which banks and supervisors operate. We have developed a programme for this event in which experts from the Basel Committee and the private sector will lead discussions on the following issues:
To foster an exchange of views, all participants will be expected to share key supervisory developments and challenges in their respective jurisdictions during the Q & A and discussion sessions.
The discussion provides an opportunity for the heads of bank supervision and other senior bank supervisory policy makers and regulatory officials from member and invitee central banks and regulatory bodies to exchange views on key supervisory developments and challenges in their respective jurisdictions.
The 33rd Meeting of SEACEN Directors of Supervision (DOS) is a closed-door session for delegates from SEACEN member central banks/monetary authorities. The focus of this meeting is for the heads of supervision departments of the SEACEN member central banks/monetary authorities to be updated on the SEACEN’s strategic direction, and to have an interactive discussion and to seek their views/inputs as to priorities for future learning programmes and research activities.
Some of the issues discussed at the 33rd Meeting of SEACEN Directors of Supervision will be escalated to the coming Meeting of SEACEN Deputy Governors in-charge of Financial Stability and Supervision and SEACEN Board of Governors (BOG).
