Prof. Warwick McKibbin, SEACEN’s Visiting Scholar for 2025, conducted a two-day workshop on “Economic Modelling for Policy: A Practitioner’s Primer” on 11-12 November 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The workshop was attended by 44 participants from 8 SEACEN member central banks/monetary authorities, including the National Bank of Cambodia, the Reserve Bank of India, Bank Indonesia, Bank Negara Malaysia, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Central Bank of Sri Lanka, the Central Bank of Chinese Taipei, and Bank of Thailand. Prof. Renee McKibbin and Prof. Michael Plummer also conducted sessions during the workshop, along with SEACEN faculty members.
