Welcoming the Central Bank of Timor-Leste (BCTL) as the latest SEACEN Associate Member!

Effective 15 September 2025, Banco Central de Timor-Leste (BCTL) was formally admitted as a SEACEN Associate Member, following unanimous approval by the SEACEN Board of Governors.

Formerly an Observer Member, the BCTL now becomes SEACEN’s 9th Associate Member, joining the Reserve Bank of Australia, Bangladesh Bank, Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan, Monetary Authority of Macao, State Bank of Pakistan, National Reserve Bank of Tonga, Reserve Bank of Fiji and Reserve Bank of Vanuatu.

BCTL’s addition further strengthens the Centre’s role in fostering regional cooperation and capacity building, in line with its mission “To be the Regional Learning Hub for Central Banks in the Asia-Pacific Region”.

The Centre looks forward to closely working with BCTL and all its existing members to realise its mission and fulfil its mandate as a premier provider of capacity building in Central Banking knowledge areas.
