Central banks face a rapidly evolving mandate shaped by digitalization, sustainability, and new macro-financial risks. To remain effective, they must build a workforce equipped with emerging capabilities — from data and digital literacy to sustainability and climate-risk skills.  

This two-day online program provides HR leaders with a practical, skills-based approach to talent acquisition, retention, and workforce planning. Participants will learn how to forecast critical capabilities, design future talent pipelines, and align workforce strategies with the institution's digital and green transformation agenda.  

Through practical tools, case examples from central banks, and guided exercises, participants will leave with a draft workforce capability roadmap tailored to their organization’s needs.  

Expected Learning Outcomes 

By the end of this program, participants will be able to grasp the following: 

Strategic Understanding

  1. Explain how digital transformation, AI, data, and sustainability reshape the future workforce of central banks. 
  2. Identify emerging roles, capability clusters, and mission-critical skills needed for 2026–2030. 

 Talent Acquisition & Retention

  1. Apply a skills-based approach to recruitment, mobility, and talent pipelines. 
  2. Identify high-impact retention levers for specialist talent (e.g., cyber, digital payments, data science, risk). 

 Workforce Planning

  1. Conduct capability assessments and build simple workforce heatmaps. 
  2. Use scenario-based workforce planning to determine future capability needs. 

 Strategic Alignment

  1. Integrate sustainability (green finance, climate risk) and digital readiness into workforce planning.  
  2. Develop a 2-year talent strategy blueprint aligned with institutional transformation priorities.
