SEACEN Capital Flows Monitor April 2026 Edition Released!

The SEACEN Centre is pleased to announce the release of the SEACEN Capital Flows Monitor 2026 (April). This issue of the monitor reports that financial markets in Asia have experienced significant volatility since the start of the Middle East conflict, with nonresident portfolio debt and equity flows to selected economies showing marked reversals from end-February to end-March. Risks to the region’s economic outlook in 2026 are tilted to the downside amid significant uncertainty. The analytical section underscores the importance of comprehensive macroeconomic, prudential, and capital flow management frameworks to safeguard macro-financial stability in EMEs amid heightened global uncertainty.
