The 46th SEACEN Directors of Research and Monetary Policy (DORM) Meeting concluded successfully on 5 June 2026 in Bali, Indonesia, bringing together Directors of Research and Monetary Policy from SEACEN member central banks and monetary authorities.
Against a backdrop of heightened global uncertainty, participants exchanged views on emerging macroeconomic challenges, evolving policy priorities, and future capacity-building needs. Dr Cyn-Young Park, Executive Director of The SEACEN Centre, delivered the opening remarks.
The meeting also featured valuable insights from Mr. Shim Ilhyock and Mr. Eduardo Amaral from the Bank for International Settlements – BIS, who shared findings from their research on central bank communication and the role of communication surveys in supporting effective monetary policymaking.
The discussions also helped shape SEACEN’s future training programmes and collaborative research agenda, reinforcing the importance of regional cooperation and knowledge sharing.
The SEACEN Centre extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Cecilia Haron, Director of Bank Indonesia Institute, for her warm hospitality and support in hosting the meeting, as well as to all delegates for their active participation and valuable contributions.
