This conference, jointly organised with the Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures, provides a forum for the Directors of Payments to discuss and exchange views on ongoing developments in the payments and market infrastructures area and take stock of regional and cross-border payments initiatives. The conference will also discuss how evolving and newer forms of payment instruments and use of blockchain technology are impacting the assessment of risks and of the oversight of these market infrastructures.
Meeting of SEACEN Directors of Payments is a closed-door session for delegates from SEACEN member central banks/monetary authorities. The focus of this meeting is for the heads of payments department of the SEACEN member central banks/monetary authorities to be updated on the proposed courses and work program in the payments area, and to seek their views/inputs on the program.
