(SP18) Deregulation of the Financial Sector in Developed Countries: Some Lessons for the SEACEN Countries by Ganesh P. Adhikary

A review of some of the circumstances leading to financial deregulation in several developed countries namely the United States Australia New Zealand Japan Canada and the United Kingdom is provided in this study. The experiences of some Latin American countries are also reviewed particularly in the deregulation of interest rates.
