The SEACEN-BSP Legal Governance Summit, hosted by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in Cebu, Philippines from 21–24 April 2026, brought together 36 participants from 13 member institutions for a focused exchange on legal governance in central banking. The summit opened with Opening Remarks by Dr. Cynyoung Park, Executive Director of The SEACEN Centre, and Welcome Remarks by Atty. Roberto Figueroa, General Counsel of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
Through expert sessions, panel discussions, and structured peer exchanges, participants engaged on central bank independence and accountability, legal defensibility, supervision and enforcement, internal governance, responsible AI governance, and digital financial innovation.
