Monetary Policy Analysis II | Operations, Strategy and Communication | Phnom Penh

Monetary Policy Analysis II | Operations, Strategy and Communication | Phnom Penh

From 24 to 28 August the SEACEN Centre and the Bank of Japan ran Monetary Policy Analysis II: Fundamentals, Operations and Strategies, hosted by the National Bank of Cambodia in Phnom Penh.

Across five days, participants worked through policy frameworks and transmission, interest-rate corridors and liquidity forecasting, inflation expectations and the Phillips curve, unconventional policy, and rules versus discretion — plus a hands-on exercise identifying policy shocks,  monetary policy war-room case study and finally group presentation.

Our thanks to the National Bank of Cambodia for hosting and the Bank of Japan for its continued partnership; to our resource persons Dr Duvvuri Subbarao, Prof. Özer Karagedikli, Ole Rummel, and SEACEN’s Donghyun Park and Meltem Chadwick; and to programme director Nur Ain Shahrier, who also led the operations and policy-rules sessions, and the programme coordinator Syaiful Hafizi Abu Hassan.
