MR RHU ENDS TERM 30 JUNE 2015
After 3 years at the helm of The SEACEN Centre, Mr. Hookyu Rhu will finish his term as the 7th Executive Director on 30 June 2015.
In the 3 years that Mr. Rhu has been at the helm of Centre, he saw the successful implementation of SEACEN’s Three-Year Strategic Business Plan (SBP) (OY) 2011/12 – Financial Year (FY) 2013) as well as the current SBP, aimed at transforming SEACEN into a regional learning hub for central banks in the Asia-Pacific region.
He witnessed several areas of growth in SEACEN during his tenure – from the expansion of the SEACEN membership from 18 members to 20 members as well as the commemoration of SEACEN’s 30th Anniversary where two major Conferences were held back-to-back and the launch of the new initiative of the SEACEN Financial Stability Journal. During his tenure, SEACEN has continued to provide excellent forums for regional networking and collaboration through its high-level meetings and conferences, as well as learning programs and research activities. In addition, SEACEN has contributed to the successful implementation of the ASEAN Financial Integration Framework by conducting Customized Programs for Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Laos PDR, Myanmar and Vietnam (BCLMV) members starting from 2014.
The SEACEN Centre will remember Mr. Rhu for his leadership and all its staff wish him all the best in his future undertakings.
