SEACEN–BOJ Course on Macroprudential Supervision, Risk-Based Supervision & Pillar 2 Implementation

Financial systems face mounting vulnerabilities from systemic risk to climate-related exposures — equipping supervisors to identify and respond to these early is more critical than ever.

From 5–8 October 2026, The SEACEN Centre and the Bank of Japan (日本銀行) convened supervisors and regulators from across the Asia-Pacific region in Manila, hosted by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. Thirty six participants from eleven SEACEN member jurisdictions attended sessions that covered macroprudential policy tools, risk-based supervision, Pillar 2 and ICAAP assessment, IRRBB, and climate risk integration.

Sincere thanks to Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas for hosting, the Bank of Japan for co-organising, and all our distinguished resource persons from hashtag#BankofJapan hashtag#BangkoSentralngPilipinas hashtag#IMF Deutsche Bundesbank Banque de France hashtag#OJK, for sharing their expertise.

SEACEN remains committed to strengthening financial stability and supervisory capacity across the region.
