The Government of Nepal has appointed Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada to the post of Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank for a term of 5 years effective from 19 March 2010. Prior to his appointment as Governor, Dr. Khatiwada was the Vice-Chairman of the National Planning Commission of Nepal. He had also served Nepal Rastra Bank for more than twenty years previously, retiring as Executive Director.
