The SEACEN course on “Building Safeguards Against Frauds, Scams, and Use of AI Tools to Monitor AML/CFT,” hosted by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) in Manila, Philippines (24–27 March 2026), was marked by a highly engaging and productive atmosphere throughout the four days.
The strong participation and positive energy created an excellent learning environment, where participants benefited from a balanced mix of policy insights and technical perspectives, complemented by rich country experiences and interactive group discussions. The inclusion of external participants from other agencies further underscores the cross-cutting importance of fraud, scams, and AI-enabled monitoring within the broader financial ecosystem.

Participants gain practical tools, enhanced measures, and valuable lessons that they can bring back to apply in their respective jurisdictions, strengthening their work and contributing more effectively to safeguarding financial systems against fraud and related risks.
