SEACEN Masterclass: Central Bank Communication | Manila 2026

Trust in central banks is built as much through how decisions are explained as through the decisions themselves. Clear, credible communication during both calm and crisis period is now a core leadership skill for central banking.

This blended masterclass, hosted by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (20–22 October), brought together senior central bank leaders across SEACEN member institutions for sessions on monetary policy and crisis communication, forward guidance, stakeholder mapping, and high-impact delivery — capped by a live media-engagement simulation.

Our sincere thanks to Governor Eli Remolona Jr. for hosting this event by the Bangko Sentral Ng Pilipinas, and to our distinguished faculty and resource speakers — Emi Nakamura, Duvvuri Subbarao, Michael McMahon, Kai Christoffel, Matthieu Chavaz, Reiner Martin, Roy Lim Way Zhi, Chirathep Senivongs, and Angie Lau — for sharing their expertise so generously.

The SEACEN Centre remains committed to strengthening leadership capacity across the region’s central banks.
